Hebrews 6:13-18

In this sermon, Pastor Ryan Skolrud explores the trustworthiness of God through Hebrews 6:13-18, examining how God's unchangeable promises and oaths provide strong encouragement for our faith. Drawing from the story of Abraham and God's covenant, this message reveals how we can have complete assurance in God's Word and find refuge in Christ's saving work.

God is completely trustworthy. His promises cannot fail. His word is unchangeable. Because God wanted to show even more clearly to the heirs of His promise the unchangeable nature of His purpose, He guaranteed it with an oath—so that through two unchangeable things, it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.
